A Simple Strategy For Weight Loss

Trying to lose weight can be difficult.

Let’s face it. There are enough fad diets and new, trendy information to make anyone’s head spin. Figuring out what’s best and most effective for you can take months, which I’m guessing is longer than you’d like it to take to simply get on the right plan.

So, I’d like to offer a simple strategy here to help you put together a plan that will get your weight trending in the right direction.

For your diet, focus on two things only: daily calories and daily protein.

First, you need to develop an understanding of what you’re consuming on a daily basis and how that relates to your weight gain, weight maintenance, or weight loss. It’s not complicated. I’d recommend tracking your nutrition to get an understanding of what you’re consuming on a daily basis, and from there reduce calories.

I’ve written an article on how to track your nutrition, which you may find helpful. I also have a Dieting Guide E-Book that walks you through the process of setting up your diet. Check those out for more information.

Once you nail down what you’re eating on a daily basis, reduce it and set an overall goal for each day. Part one done.

For part two, you need to set up a minimum protein goal for each day. Once again, I’ve written a few articles on protein that will help you out in understanding the role of protein and its importance.

Read about how much protein you should consume to get a full understanding of setting a protein goal. Articles on protein myths and a simple strategy for consuming protein are good reads.

Assuming you’re using fitness to assist with losing weight, protein will be an important and honestly crucial part of your diet in order to be able to recover from your workouts and continue to exercise each day.

If you can stick to an overall calorie goal and hit your protein each day, you’re going to be in a good spot to start making some progress! At least to start, you shouldn’t need to make things more complicated than that.

So give this a shot if weight loss is a goal of yours. I bet applying this simple strategy will get you moving in the right direction!
