My Multi-Year Transformation

Let me tell you my story.

If you’ve missed any of the client transformations this week, check them out! The people I work with are incredibly dedicated, are doing things the right way, and make me proud and motivated on a daily basis.

I gotta walk the walk, too, though…

It would be hard for me to coach other people if I didn’t have my shit together. If I wasn’t living by the ideals I believe in so much.

And honestly, there was a time when I wasn’t.

I’ve been lost more than a few times in my fitness journey. When I got started, I knew nothing and made all the mistakes you’re supposed to make.

The thing is, after you make those mistakes you’re supposed to learn from them and grow.

It’s hard to do that when you’re stubborn.

My goals have always been the same.

  • I want to build muscle.
  • I want to get stronger.
  • I want to feel confident in my own skin.

For whatever reason, I spent years doing all the wrong things while trying to accomplish those goals. I lifted weights, but there was no progression. Just the same stuff over and over and over again.

That’s not how you grow.

I also severely restricted myself from food. I thought carbs were the devil, and that all I could eat was chicken, salad, and protein shakes.

That’s not how you grow. (And if you knew me in college, you can probably picture this version of me REAL well right now.)

I also abandoned my goals regularly on the weekend for binges and getting trashed.

You know the story by now… That’s not how you grow.

The before/after picture at the top of this article is me a few years ago (left), and me now (right). Both are 190 pounds, but clearly I’m in a better place now.

Change takes time. It takes consistency. And it takes doing a lot of the same things over, and over, and over again and trusting that the process will result in the change you’re looking for.

Like lifting heavy, having a meal plan targeted to your goals, and taking the necessary steps to allow your body to adapt (adequate sleep, hydration, managing stress levels, etc.).

Why am I telling you all of this?

Because if you’re unhappy with how you look or feel, or if you’ve tried this stuff in the past and failed, I understand where you are. I understand how you feel. I’ve been there.

And I’m also here to help.

My goal as a coach is to help you achieve what you’ve always dreamed of with fitness and nutrition, and to avoid a lot of the mistakes that cause people to fail and quit (or in my case, run on a hamster wheel for a decade without actually getting anywhere). It’s also to help you develop a plan that’s sustainable and give you the knowledge you need to manage your training, nutrition, and goals for years to come.

If you want to make a change, let’s talk. Fill out a coaching application form, and we can connect and discuss what your goals are and how we might be able to work together to get you there.

Let’s make the plan work this time around.

And let’s do it the right way.
