The BIG SECRET to Achieving Your Fitness Goals!

A lot of people will tell you there’s a BIG SECRET to achieving success in the gym. Unfortunately, virtually all of these BIG SECRETS are just part of a scam to sell you products or misinformation.

The fitness industry is notorious for this type of marketing. You’d think something like fitness, with such a wholesome goal of bettering yourself, would have an industry full of facts, truths, and truly helpful information.

Whether it be the commercials you see on TV, the ads you see online, or even the interactions you have in supplement stores, everyone is selling you the next new, “secret product” to achieve success.

do know the undisputed secret to success, but it might not be one you’re excited to hear.

Nevertheless, with the amount of misinformation out there on the internet, in the fitness and supplement industries, and elsewhere, I feel like this is a topic worth writing about.

Quite simply, the BIG SECRET is that you have to work hard, apply yourself, and be consistent on a daily basis. Anyone that has achieved their goals in the gym has done exactly that (unless they have an unnatural advantage).

If you have a fitness or lifestyle goal, just tackle it. I truly believe everyone has the capacity to conquer this stuff. I just don’t think everyone believes in themselves or thinks they can find that quality from within.

But you can.

It comes down to what’s important to you, and if your health, wellness, and fitness are important to you (they should be) you’ll make time for them. It doesn’t have to be more complicated than that.

So stop searching for a quick fix. If that’s what you’re looking for, that’s all you’ll get. You’ll find a food or a supplement that will make you feel great for a few days, and then you’ll be back to your starting point, because you didn’t really accomplish anything.

What you need to do is establish what your goal is, outline the steps necessary to reach your goal, and work hard at it every day.

Want to put on muscle? Want to run a marathon? Want to lose 10 pounds?

For whatever you goal is, get your nutrition right. Get your training program in place. Figure out how both can fit into your daily life, and then go out and crush it every single day.

Don’t lie to yourself. Don’t lie to others.

Don’t talk about how often you’re training, when you know it’s a lie. Don’t have a good day dieting, and then reward yourself with a cheat day. Don’t repeat that cycle over and over and over again.

Find self-discipline and realize that you can literally achieve anything you want. You just need to apply yourself. Apply yourself like you’ve never applied yourself before.

Really.

If you can get on a program and nutrition plan and stick with it early on, it will become contagious. You’ll realize that every decision you make throughout the day and each rep you perform at the gym will directly contribute to bettering yourself in a way you’ve never done before. If you can stick with it for a couple of weeks, you’ll start to notice changes in your body. You’ll see them in the mirror. The work you put in at the gym will directly translate in front of you. After that point, every single rep, cardio session, and meal will start to look like another opportunity to contribute to those results. You’ll never want to stop.

I was always skinny as a kid. I don’t remember a ton from when I was younger, but memories of people telling me I could never “get big” or put on any muscle remain vivid in my mind. I was often the target of jokes about being tiny/skinny/etc.

I believed everything everyone said for a long, long time. Then I got to a certain point where I thought, ‘if I never give this a real shot, I’ll never actually know what I can accomplish.’

I’ve dedicated myself ever since then, and today I’m a much more confident, happy person. I’m not by any means some type of miraculous “fitness success story.” I don’t want to ever come off like I think I am.

But I do think I can relate to a lot of people out there struggling with a body issue, fitness goals, etc. because I’ve been there. I also know that making a lifestyle change, dedicating myself to something better, and searching within for a higher level of discipline and motivation is possible.

And it works.

You can improve yourself, and you can learn so much along the way. So do it. You’re not going to get today back, or tomorrow, or the next day, or last week, so put a plan in place and crush every single day.

I’ve outlined quite a bit on this site already about how you can get started. Check out some of the relevant links I’ve provided below, and reach out to me if you have questions. Use this as a resource to move forward. Do something TODAY.

Just get started, and don’t stop. Stop searching for quick “outs” to get what you want. Dedicate yourself.

You’ll thank yourself later.
