Well, as the website says, my name is Chris Gates, and I’m a husband, father, son, brother and friend. I’m also a health and fitness coach.
I have a master’s degree in health and fitness from the University of Pittsburgh, and I’ve been coaching people online since 2017. In that time, I’ve helped hundreds of people achieve sustainable results with diet and exercise.
My mission is to help people to become happier, healthier, and stronger in their everyday lives.
I work with people who want to improve some aspect of their lifestyle — whether it be losing body fat, building muscle, getting stronger, feeling more athletic, or developing a happier and healthier relationship with fitness and food — and we achieve that through lifestyle changes that are sustainable and enjoyable.
I truly believe the most effective plan is the one that you can stick to. That applies to your workouts, meal plans… pretty much everything. I’ll work with you to create customized training and nutrition plans that are targeted to your goals. I’ll also be there to coach you each step of the way.
There are no miracle fixes here. Rather, we’ll work together as a team to develop new habits that you can take and apply in order to live a happier and healthier life. Determination and work ethic create results, and that’s exactly what we’ll establish.
It won’t always be easy. You’ll have to do hard things. But you’ll achieve the results you’ve always dreamed of.
My passion has always been to help people. The chance to help someone learn something new, or help someone solve a problem, has always given me a rush. Through coaching I’m able to teach my clients the ins and outs of training and nutrition, and it helps them live a better life. There’s nothing better than that!

My Fitness Journey:
My fitness journey began long ago as an endurance athlete, and over the years I’ve transitioned my training style to building muscle and strength.
Growing up, I was always skinny — too small to play most team sports, even though I had a passion to play just about everything. I’ve always been driven by fitness and athletics, and through trial and error I’ve learned what works (and what doesn’t) in terms of combining health and fitness to live a happy and healthy life, and achieve bigger and better goals! I capped off my education with a Master’s Degree in Health and Fitness from the University of Pittsburgh.
Now, I love training and the pursuit of my own goals as well as helping my clients pursue their own. It’s such a rush, and I love being there to support my clients in everything that they do.
By developing the right habits, I’ve seen how regular fitness and proper nutrition can truly take your quality of life to new highs. As I continue to work on myself each and every day, I hope to help as many people as I possibly can to do the same with their lives.
